ARCA: Threshold

Book 1

In the near future, humanity lives sustained by a global interconnected network, where every aspect of life is protected by infallible systems. But something has breached those defenses. An anomaly. Strange, inexplicable, impossible.

From one of the network’s cores, a system operator comes into contact with the anomaly. What seemed like a simple technical glitch shakes her neural implant, leaving an indelible mark and forging a connection to something beyond our world.

Humanity stands on the brink of irreversible change. An unknown intervention has breached the foundations of our connected world, moving through its systems with unsettling impunity.

But this intrusion is not merely a threat; it is an inflection point—an instant where the established order fractures, and the unknown shifts from a possibility to an inevitable destiny.

On the other side of this threshold, will we still be the same?

About Esteban

I was born in Argentina, but my Swiss roots led me to navigate between both cultures, feeling part of the two, yet never fully belonging to either. I studied architecture in Buenos Aires and currently live in Switzerland with my wife.

Science fiction fascinates me for its ability to invite us to reflect beyond the limits of our nature. I have a strong preference for stories that place humanity and its dilemmas at the center, such as Contact by Carl Sagan or Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke.

ARCA: Threshold is my debut novel and the first installment of a trilogy in which I explore the impact of an intervention from another world, marking a turning point in human evolution.
